The District Regular Embroidery Kit

$32.00
The District embroidery kit and step-by-step guide is designed to be accessible enough for embroidery beginners, while interesting and engaging enough for any embroiderer.  It's the perfect gift not only for our fellow DC residents, but visitors who want to immortalize their trip in a crafty way.

The kit includes 1 4" embroidery hoop, 7 embroidery floss skeins, 7 bobbins, the needle, the fabric, the pattern, and a step-by-step guide: everything you need to create your own!

The kit is also specifically designed to use less environmentally harmful material than similar kits of its kind.  The product's compact design lends itself to any space, whether it's entertaining passengers from the backseat of a car on the road trip home to a crafter living in the city's tiniest studio apartment.

My mission: I launched Capital Stitch Co. in order to teach others the value of working with your hands, especially when it comes to mental health and wellness. Early on in the pandemic, I realized one of the key ways that I was coping with uncertain times was through handmade embroidery.

Mental health issues are a sincere concern in the modern day world: in fact, according to the National Alliance of Mental Health, 1 in every 5 people in this country has been diagnosed with an anxiety disorder. It is my mission with Capital Stitch Co. to provide others with the same comfort that once (and still) comforts me.
